Our primary office on Capitol Hill allows the District Strategies team to maintain a strong presence in all aspects of federal government, from Congress to the White House and everywhere in between. Our extensive work representing state governments also means our team is well-connected with federally-focused state government as well, maintaining strong relationships with all of the nation’s governors and their key staff.

Working with our partners, we have established a team that spends a significant amount of time traveling to ensure our clients are well served both on the ground and on ‘the Hill’.

Our Team

Ryan McGinness
Ryan has worked in the government affairs field for over a decade at the local, state and national levels. He has represented a broad range of clients, from municipal to state governments, family businesses and multi-national corporations. He has managed several successful grassroots/grasstops projects at the local and state levels.

He started his political life working on local and state campaigns, serving as a campaign consultant to over twenty-five campaigns in Nevada, as well as consultant to legislative leadership in the Nevada Senate. In Washington, he worked in public policy in the U.S. Senate, followed by several years advocating for state and local governments before opening District Strategies in 2006.

Ryan holds a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Nevada and a Masters in Political Management from the George Washington University. His specific expertise lies in transportation, communications, energy, and resources issues.
